Goldmender Media has taken note of the disclaimer recently issued by the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) regarding the lamppost advertising promotion featuring the image of Mr. Bimbo Adekanbi.

While we respect the position of the Agency, we consider it necessary to clarify the circumstances surrounding the promotion and to protect the reputation and integrity of our company.

Goldmender Media is a legitimate advertising company that carried out the said advertising project in good faith, based on the franchise and information provided to us through the Lead Consultant to the Oyo State Government in charge of OYSAA, who is responsible for all signages and lamppost advertising across Oyo State.

We proceeded with the project based on the understanding and representation communicated to us through the Lead Consultant to the Oyo State Government in charge of OYSAA, and in accordance with the franchise granted to Goldmender Media.

From our understanding, the present situation arose as a result of a miscommunication or misunderstanding between the Lead Consultant to the Oyo State Government in charge of OYSAA and the Director-General of OYSAA regarding the scope and status of the arrangement.

Goldmender Media was not a party to this misunderstanding. We acted in good faith based on the information and franchise provided to us through the Lead Consultant to the Oyo State Government in charge of OYSAA.

It is also important to state that Goldmender Media had already clarified this matter at a meeting held at the OYSAA office on 28 July 2026 with the top management of OYSAA. During the meeting, the circumstances surrounding the franchise and the advertising promotion were explained and clarified.

We are therefore concerned that the recent disclaimer may create an unintended impression about the role of Goldmender Media in the matter. We wish to make it clear that Goldmender Media acted based on the franchise granted to us through the Lead Consultant to the Oyo State Government in charge of OYSAA and had no intention of acting contrary to the expectations or directives of OYSAA.

Goldmender Media has always conducted its business with professionalism, transparency and accountability, and we remain committed to maintaining the confidence of our clients, partners and the general public.

We respectfully appeal to our clients, partners, advertisers and members of the public not to draw conclusions about Goldmender Media without considering the circumstances under which the franchise was granted and the clarification already made to the top management of OYSAA.

We remain committed to working professionally with OYSAA, the Lead Consultant to the Oyo State Government in charge of OYSAA, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the matter is properly clarified and resolved.
