The Bimbo Adekanmbi Grassroots Ambassadors (BIGA) has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, at his office at the Local Government Secretariat, as part of its grassroots engagement and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections. The team, led by the State Coordinator, Mr. Timothy Oladosu, was warmly received by the Akinyele Local Government BIGA Chairman, Hon. Taoreed Abiola Adeyemo (AB), who, alongside the Akinyele LG Ward Coordinators, led the delegation to the Executive Chairman’s office where they were accorded a warm reception.

During the visit, the BIGA team expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Akinwole Akinleye for his numerous philanthropic gestures, commitment to grassroots development and his people-oriented approach to governance. The delegation also shared the vision and mission of BIGA, emphasising its determination to deepen grassroots mobilisation, strengthen support for the APM and promote the ideals of purposeful leadership. The team equally commended the Akinyele LG BIGA Coordinator, Hon. Taoreed Abiola Adeyemo (AB), for his leadership and efforts in coordinating the group’s activities within the local government.

Speaking on the purpose of the visit, the State Coordinator, Mr. Timothy Oladosu, stated that the team was on a strategic mission to mobilise support across the grassroots and work tirelessly towards ensuring the victory of the APM Gubernatorial Candidate in Oyo State, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, as well as all APM candidates in the 2027 general elections. He described the mission as a collective responsibility that requires commitment, unity and sustained engagement with the people at the grassroots, expressing confidence that the growing structure of the APM would translate into electoral success in 2027.

Responding, the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, appreciated the BIGA team for the visit and applauded the initiative as a positive step towards strengthening grassroots mobilisation and political participation. He assured the delegation that Akinyele Local Government would not be left behind in the collective efforts to ensure victory for the APM and all its candidates in 2027, pledging his continued support and encouragement to the team. He urged the BIGA members to remain focused, committed and consistent in their mobilisation efforts.
