The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Oludayo Opatokun, has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the good people of Oyo Central Senatorial District and Oyo State as they step into the month of June, urging residents to remain vigilant, united, focused and committed to the collective progress of the state.

In his New Month message, Hon. Opatokun described June as another opportunity for reflection, renewed determination and purposeful action toward building a safer, stronger and more prosperous society. He encouraged citizens to embrace the virtues of love, peace, tolerance and selfless service, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and mutual understanding.

The PDP chieftain particularly stressed the importance of security consciousness at this critical period, calling on residents to remain alert, vigilant and cooperative with security agencies. He urged communities to promptly report suspicious activities and continue to support efforts aimed at safeguarding lives and property across the state.

Hon. Opatokun also expressed deep concern over the unfortunate abduction of teachers and students in Oriire Local Government Area, stating that his thoughts and prayers remain with the victims, their families and loved ones during this difficult time. He expressed optimism that they would soon regain their freedom and reunite safely with their families.

He commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the proactive measures and relentless efforts being undertaken by the state government and security agencies toward securing the release of the kidnapped teachers and students. According to him, the governor’s commitment to the safety and security of residents continues to inspire confidence among the people.

Hon. Opatokun further charged residents not to be discouraged by prevailing challenges but to remain steadfast, focused and united in the pursuit of a better society. He emphasized that collective responsibility, civic engagement and unwavering support for good governance are essential ingredients for achieving lasting peace, security and development.

As the month of June unfolds, he prayed for divine protection, abundant blessings, good health and greater accomplishments for all residents of Oyo Central Senatorial District and Oyo State, while expressing hope for brighter days ahead.
