Eid-el-Kabir and Children’s Day:Oyo Lawmaker, Hon. Abiola Monsur Olalekan Celebrates Muslims and Children, Calls for Unity and Compassion

As Muslims across the world celebrate the sacred occasion of Eid-el-Kabir and Nigeria marks this year’s Children’s Day celebration, the lawmaker representing Akinyele State Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Abiola Monsur Olalekan, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithfuls and children across the constituency. He described the dual celebration as a special moment for reflection, sacrifice, love, and renewed hope for a brighter future for the younger generation.

In his goodwill message, Hon. Abiola Monsur Olalekan urged residents of Akinyele Local Government to embrace peace, unity, and steadfastness, stressing that communal harmony remains essential for meaningful growth and development. He encouraged constituents to set aside differences and continue to promote togetherness irrespective of religion, tribe, or political affiliation. According to him, unity and cooperation among the people are necessary ingredients for overcoming societal challenges and building a prosperous constituency for all.

Speaking on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, the lawmaker noted that the celebration symbolizes obedience, sacrifice, compassion, and generosity. He called on Muslim faithfuls to uphold the lessons of the season by showing kindness to neighbors, extending support to the less privileged, and promoting love within their communities. He further stated that acts of charity and selflessness remain vital in strengthening societal bonds and advancing peace among the people.

Hon. Abiola Monsur Olalekan also used the occasion of Children’s Day to celebrate children as the pride and future of society. He emphasized the need for parents, leaders, and stakeholders to continue investing in the welfare, education, and moral upbringing of children, noting that a better future can only be secured when children are properly guided and empowered. He encouraged young people to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their education and aspirations.

The Oyo lawmaker reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the people of Akinyele State Constituency 1, promising to continue championing initiatives and policies that will improve the standard of living of his constituents. He expressed optimism that through unity, sacrifice, and collective responsibility, the constituency would continue to witness peace, progress, and sustainable development.
