The Allied People’s Movement, APM, candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, has received a grassroots electorate team drawn from four polling unit areas of Akinyele Local Government Area at his campaign secretariat in Sawmill, near Haaco Hotel.

ADLAT’s candidacy for Akinyele/Lagelu has also been reported in recent political coverage.

The meeting, which was convened by Seyi Oke Banki, brought together members and notable youths from J&P, Bank Bus Stop, Aladanla and Aponmode polling unit areas. The gathering provided an opportunity for the representatives from the four areas to formally engage with Engr. Toheeb and discuss matters concerning grassroots coordination and community needs.

A major highlight of the meeting was the donation of solar street lights by Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT for installation across the four polling unit axes. The gesture is intended to provide additional lighting around the communities and improve visibility in areas where the lights will be installed.

The donation formed a central part of the engagement between the APM candidate and the grassroots team.

Among those present at the meeting were Hon. Afees Demola Sanusi, APM Vice Chairman Candidate for Akinyele Local Government, Chief Fakayode Faseyi, the Awise Awo of Akinyele Local Government, and Hon. Fakayode Fakolade, APM Ward 5 Councilor Candidate in Akinyele Local Government, alongside several other notable youths and grassroots stakeholders. Their presence added to the broad representation at the meeting, with participants drawn from different areas of the constituency.

Speaking during the engagement, the participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to meet directly with Engr. Toheeb and for the solar street lights donated for the four polling unit areas.

The meeting also further connected the grassroots representatives with party figures and stakeholders in attendance, as discussions centred on community engagement and practical issues affecting residents.

The gathering ended with appreciation from the participants to Engr. Toheeb and the organisers for the engagement and the community lighting intervention.
