Akinyele Constituency II was filled with excitement and celebration as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) Candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olalere Solomon, popularly known as ERE, donated 200 solar street lights to communities across the constituency.

The intervention, which cuts across several rural and semi-urban communities, is aimed at improving security, enhancing socio-economic activities, and providing sustainable lighting for residents. Beneficiary communities include Kajorepo/Akobo, Tinuoye, Abatakan Spare Parts, Motunde, Akinkunmi Iroko, Isale Ojoo, Akuro (Ward 10), Strabag, Olorisaoko II, Asiwaju Olorisaoko, Agbekoya Abaeja, Aba Eko Village, Akuro Zone B, and Idiori Zone, among others.

The distribution exercise attracted a massive turnout of community leaders, youths, women, elders, and residents who gave the APM flagbearer a warm reception in appreciation of the thoughtful gesture. Many described the project as a timely intervention that would significantly improve safety, discourage criminal activities, and create a more conducive environment for businesses and other economic activities to thrive after dark. The atmosphere in the various communities was one of joy and gratitude as residents applauded Hon. Olalere Solomon ERE for once again demonstrating his commitment to grassroots development.

Speaking during the presentations, Hon. Olalere Solomon ERE expressed appreciation to the communities for their overwhelming support and warm reception. He noted that the donation was inspired by his passion for improving the living conditions of the people, stressing that effective leadership is measured by the positive impact it makes on society. According to him, the solar street lights will not only illuminate the communities but also strengthen security, promote peaceful coexistence, and improve the overall quality of life of residents. He reaffirmed that he would continue to champion projects that directly benefit the people, irrespective of whether he currently occupies public office.

Residents and community leaders, in their separate remarks, commended Hon. Olalere Solomon ERE for what they described as another remarkable demonstration of selfless service. They recalled hearing numerous testimonies of his philanthropic activities long before he declared his ambition to represent Akinyele Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly and expressed delight at becoming direct beneficiaries of his generosity. They offered prayers for God’s continued protection, wisdom, and success upon him, expressing confidence that his record of compassion and community service reflects the quality of representation the constituency deserves.
