Hon. Lekan Monsur Abiola, representing Akinyele Constituency One, on Wednesday, 2nd September 2026, paid a goodwill visit to Ward 5, where he received a warm and joyful welcome from party leaders and members.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Abiola appreciated the members for their steadfastness, patience and commitment to the growth of the party. While acknowledging that there may have been shortcomings and unmet expectations, he assured members that what is not enough today will certainly be sustained and improved upon, highlighting his administration’s interventions in employment opportunities, gratuities and other areas of support to constituents.

He passionately appealed to all aggrieved members to embrace forgiveness and reconciliation, stressing that no one is perfect. He urged everyone to remain united in love, mutual respect and understanding, while staying focused on the collective progress and future of the party.

As part of his commitment to grassroots development, Hon. Abiola donated 10 solar lights and ₦300,000 to Ward 5, alongside a massive women empowerment initiative. One of the party’s respected founding fathers, Chief Oloye Akin, popularly known as “Baba Oloye,” also supported the members with a ₦50,000 cash donation.

Another major highlight was the return of Mr. Femi Oladosu, popularly known as “FM,” who had earlier decamped to OYO NPEO and has now returned to APM. His return was received with great joy by the leaders and members of Ward 5.

The party leaders appreciated the impressive turnout and encouraged members to intensify the publicity and promotion of APM in their various communities and places of influence. They equally called for unity, cooperation and a shared sense of purpose in building a stronger and more formidable party structure.

The meeting was attended by prominent leaders including Chief Oloye Akin (Baba Oloye), Hon. Kunle Oyeniran, Ward 5 Party Chairman, Hon. Femi Adegbite, alongside other leaders, women, youths and committed party members.

The Ward 5 visitation reaffirmed a shared commitment to unity, reconciliation, empowerment, grassroots mobilisation and the collective advancement of APM.
