The All People’s Movement (APM) House of Representatives candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Engr Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, has expressed sadness over the death of a foremost community and religious leader, Alhaji Wahab Olayiwola Surulagba.

Surulagba reportedly died overnight at an advanced age.

In a condolence message, Toheeb described the death of the respected elder as a painful loss to his immediate family, the people of Akinyele Local Government and Oyo State at large.

According to him, the late Surulagba was more than a community leader, describing him as an elder whose life was marked by service, wisdom, faith and commitment to the wellbeing of the people.

Toheeb said the deceased’s contributions to the religious and community life of Akinyele would remain part of the legacy he left behind.

He noted that elders such as Surulagba played an important role in preserving the values of the community, counselling younger generations and promoting peace and unity among the people.

“Alhaji Wahab Olayiwola Surulagba was a father, an elder and a man whose life was deeply connected to the progress of his people. His death is a great loss to Akinyele and Oyo State,” Toheeb said.

The APM candidate added that while death was inevitable, the passing of a respected elder at a time when his wisdom and experience were still valuable would be deeply felt by those who had benefited from his guidance.

He extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the Muslim community, traditional and community leaders, as well as all those who mourned the late elder.

Toheeb prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

He also prayed that Allah would grant the family and the entire Akinyele community the strength to bear the loss.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds and grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah give his family and the people of Akinyele the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen,” he said.

The late Alhaji Wahab Olayiwola Surulagba will be remembered for his years of service to his community and his contributions to the religious and social development of the people.
