The lawmaker representing Akinyele Constituency I at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiola Olalekan Monsur, has officially picked the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) nomination form to contest for another term in the Oyo State House of Assembly, a move that has generated massive excitement and widespread commendation across Akinyele Local Government.

The development is being described by political stakeholders, party loyalists and constituents as a bold and strategic step towards sustaining quality representation, effective grassroots leadership and people-oriented governance in the constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking shortly after obtaining the nomination form, Hon. Abiola Olalekan Monsur expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for what he described as his exceptional leadership dexterity, visionary governance and remarkable commitment to the growth and development of Oyo State.

The Oyo lawmaker also openly declared his unwavering support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition, noting that the governor possesses the competence, administrative capacity and leadership experience required to reposition Nigeria for greater prosperity and national unity. Meanwhile, the decision of Hon. Abiola Olalekan Monsur to seek another term has been widely applauded by residents and political stakeholders across Akinyele Constituency I, many of whom insist that the constituency has moved beyond the era of political experimentation.
