In a strategic move aimed at fostering youth inclusion and development, the Nigeria Youth Congress (NYC), Akinyele Local Government Chapter, paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye, at his office. The visit, marked by mutual respect and shared vision, provided an opportunity for both parties to engage in meaningful dialogue geared toward advancing the interests of young people within the local government.

During the engagement, Hon. Akinwole Akinleye reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to youth-friendly policies and initiatives. His track record, which aligns with the progressive governance style of his principal, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, reflects a consistent dedication to empowering young people through inclusive governance, skill development, and capacity building opportunities. The Executive Chairman emphasized that youths remain central to sustainable development and must be actively involved in shaping the future of the local government.

The discussions at the meeting centered on actionable strategies through which Akinyele Local Government can collaborate with the Nigeria Youth Congress to deepen youth engagement. Key focus areas included creating platforms for skill acquisition, promoting entrepreneurship, facilitating access to government programs, and encouraging active civic participation among youths. The Nigeria Youth Congress, a nationally recognized and frontline youth-oriented organization, reiterated its readiness to work closely with the local government to drive impactful initiatives. The delegation led by its Coordinator Com Ibrahim Oladipupo Ajuwon(MISTY GOLDEN) commended the Chairman for his open door policy and youth centered leadership style, noting that such accessibility is vital in building trust and ensuring that the voices of young people are heard and acted upon.

The Akinyele LG NYC delegation was led by its Coordinator, Ibrahim Oladipupo Ajuwon, alongside Uthman Taiwo Usman (Deputy Coordinator), Ogundipe Oluwaseyi Samson (Secretary),Com Ogundipe Paul (PRO), Oladejo Yetunde Dorcas (Director of Welfare), Adesokan Opeyemi Solomon (Treasurer), and Comrade Temi (Special Assistant).
