The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Oyo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Oludayo Opatokun, has congratulated Muslim faithfuls across Oyo State, particularly those in the Oyo Central Senatorial District, on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival. He described the occasion as a sacred period that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, love, and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah, urging Muslims to continue to uphold the virtues and teachings demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

In his goodwill message, Hon. Opatokun called on the Muslim Ummah to use the festive period to offer prayers for enduring peace, unity, and sustainable development in Oyo State and Nigeria at large. He stressed the importance of national harmony, mutual understanding, and collective responsibility among citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.

The PDP chieftain also sympathized with families and individuals affected by the unfortunate incident in Oriire Local Government, praying that Almighty Allah grants the victims Freedom, strength, comfort, and quick recovery from the painful experience. He urged residents across communities to remain vigilant and security conscious during and after the celebrations, while encouraging continuous cooperation with security agencies through timely reporting of suspicious activities.

Hon. Oludayo Opatokun further appealed to residents to celebrate responsibly and maintain peaceful coexistence with one another. He prayed that Allah accepts the sacrifices and prayers of all Muslim faithfuls and blesses every home with happiness, divine favour, sound health, and abundant prosperity beyond the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
